It was with great sadness that in 2017, we said goodbye to our past member, Chairman, President and friend. Janet was a founding member of HAPS and continued to be an active supporter until her health began to fail. Janet took great pride in watching the younger members of our society blossom and perform on stage. It is with this in mind that the society created the

Janet Williams Shield of Smiles

The shield is presented on the last night of the show and is given to a member of the youth chorus who has caught the eye of the Director. Whether for their hard work, commitment or presence on stage. The shield is then passed on the following year to the next recipient.
